HOW TO RESERVE
Please note there are only 80 cabs in total available for purchase
First units expected to be ready for delivery Sept 2020 on a first come first serve basis, according to when deposits were received.
1. PAY DEPOSIT
To reserve your cab, we initially require a deposit of £2,000. This can be paid securely online or by clicking on the reserve now button.
The deposit is refundable if for whatever reason, your application for the interest free loan is not accepted.
2. APPLY FOR THE LOW CARBON HACKNEY CAB LOAN
Interest free loans of up to £120,000 are available from Energy Saving Trust, funded by Transport Scotland (an agency of the Scottish Government), to enable owners and operators of hackney cabs to replace cabs that are more than 8 years old with new, efficient models with emission standard Euro 6.
LOW CARBON HACKNEY CAB LOAN
Applications must be made by the vehicle owner, with funds paid directly to them on receipt of a final invoice from VRS.
The loan is interest free and funded by the Energy Saving Trust with a standard repayment period of 6 years.
Operated as a business for a minimum of 12 months
Owned their existing cab for at least 6 months
Existing cab must be at least 8 years old at the point of application
Applicants require a written quotation from VRS in order to apply
Applications made online take approximately 6-8 weeks from the date that they apply to the date funds are paid. Applicants usually receive a decision in 10 working days
Applicants can put down an initial deposit on their chosen vehicle, but must wait until funds are paid before settling the remaining balance
