EDINBURGH
LEZ Compliant Solution
Low Emission Zones (LEZ) have been introduced across Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, to improve air quality and protect public health.
Diesel powered taxis must meet Euro 6 emission standards in order to be compliant. The Scottish Government are helping taxi drivers to meet these LEZ standards through grant funding.
Our CVRAS approved retrofit solution replaces the diesel fuel system in non-compliant TX4 cabs with a brand new, Euro 6, petrol-LPG engine.
Edinburgh Council extend the operating license for LPG powered cabs by 4 years.
What is included?
Brand new 2.5L engine, featuring our latest GEN4 system, adapted to operate full time on LPG or petrol.
Including a brand new exhaust system, catalytic converter, radiator, full tank of LPG and Petrol, testing, wheelchair ramp cover, tyre repair kit, 2year/80k mile warranty, CVRAS & UKLPG registration.
Cost (new GEN4 system): £ tbc
Current grant amount: Up to 80% of retrofit cost, capped at £12k
Note: If you received the disposal grant for a previous cab within the last 12 months, this amount will be deducted from the grant total
Larger petrol tank option
Subject to availability at time of installation, we have manufactured some larger 40ltr petrol tanks, to give additional peace of mind and added range.
This option is now available for all TX4 Euro 4 models & Euro 5 models.
The cost of the larger petrol tank is an additional £400+Vat payable at the start of the retrofit installation (subject to availability).
